Highlights at Borrego Springs: 3 Astro-image: Andromeda Galaxy, Pleiades and Orion Nebula. 100mm f/9 Apo refractor, 900 Focal Length, 1.5 minutes, ISO 3200. Intermittent clouds.

After we packed away the telescope, I spent some time observing with my 10 x 30 IS stabilized Canon binoculars. This binocular, in my opinion, is the ultimate stargazing binocular!

A “Binocular Highlights” atlas from Sky Publishing nicely complements this instrument. The Canon 10 x 30 IS binocs can be purchased at approximately $400. Worth the price!

The delightfully dark skies in Borrego Springs allowed all the celestial objects to be bright, clear and spectacular! (M31, M45, M42, Double Cluster, M36, M37, M38, Hyades, Alpha Perseus association....amazing!)

Please plan to join us at the next trip Borrego Springs.
